OMEGA - Seamaster Aqua Terra Quartz

I actually bought this watch after considering it less than 15 minutes. This was unplanned. I am not sure what made me buy it, but I must say that this is a nice piece of luxury watch. For this, I totally have to forgo my Korea trip. Korea is no more in consideration. Bought this watch from one of the DFS boutiques in Changi Airport. Because of this watch also, I almost missed my flight back to Penang. I really like this watch and am very pleased with it. It is my Christmas present for myself. I have not rewarded myself with anything as exciting as this. The classic look of this watch will never run out of time. It comes with a very nice case. With one swipe of my credit card and the watch is mine. I've been wearing it for a couple of days for free. It is not billed to my credit card yet. I've got another one and a half months to settle the payment.

Cold or hot?

Over the excitement of the holiday plans, we are undecided where to go. Korea sounds of course of much more fun compared to Bangkok. The only set back now is that the weather is freaking cold there now. And in another month's time, it's going to be much colder, according to a friend who is there now, he says by next month it's going to be -5 degrees. I don't think I can take it. If it is going to be that cold, don't think I would be able to do anything. So, what is the point of going there then? And if we go to Bangkok, it's going to be so hot. The weather is the same as here. The temptation is still Korea. Argh... so undecided. How?
I've got about two weeks to consider this. Next week I will be going to Singapore for five days for work. So excited, get to stay in Ritz Carlton. The bedroom slippers are so comfy. The bed is so big. The room is so homely. The food is not bad. And the bathtub, superb! I get the chance to stay in the suite this time. Well, considering the work that I will be doing then, I so deserve to stay there. Ritz is so grand. I can't afford to go there on my own expense. Business trip paid by the company.

My foot!

I discovered something awfully wrong with my foot during the weekend. I went to Ipoh with Sunshine on Sunday as there was nothing else better to do in Taiping. Shopping at Parkson as I got a couple of hundred ringgit vouchers to spend. We visited Hush Puppies. Saw this new pair of shoes which I saw in Cleo the night before. I wanted to get it, so I asked the promoter to get a pair of size 5 for me. I tried it on. Tried walking in them. It felt funny, the right side seems to be slipping out when I walk. I told the promoter to bring me size 4 instead. When I tried them on, I discovered the amazing truth about my two feet. I could not put on the left side. I concluded that my left feet is bigger than my right feet. I've never had this problem before. I did not realise for the past 27 years that my foot are not of the same size. I wonder if this is normal? Isn't the body supposed to be symmetrical? It will be scary if you have a bigger ear one side. You will look like a laughing stock. Oh my God, I can't imagine that. I better go check on my other body parts tonight to make sure that they are proportionate.

Second plan

On a second note, we are considering to go to Korea instead of Bangkok. I'm so excited over this thought. Korea would be much more nicer compared to Bangkok. And of course more expansive as well. I've checked the prices. 8 days RM 3388 by Korean Air. The places that is in the itenery is Jeju Island, Suanbo Ski Resort, Mount Sorak, Nami Island and Lotteworld. I'm seriously considering this instead of Bangkok. The weather there is freezing cold now. There's going to be snow. I might spend a white Christmas there. How wonderful!

Bangkok - Pattaya

I'm going on a holiday! I'm going on a holiday! Oh, my long long awaited break. Let me see, when was my last vacation? Hong Kong last year's May? Gosh, I've been slogging like a bull for a year and a half, no breaks. Hmm... blame it all to Sunshine. Never seems to initiate for a break for me. Sianness... We've got into this argument a couple of times. But things don't seem to improve much. You know, I so hate it, that everytime when I ask him to go for a holiday, his reply is plan first or he can't go so long or something just don't seem to be right. But then, whenever his friends asks him to go somewhere, his answer is "let's party", without much hesitation.
So, this Bangkok - Pattaya trip is planned by me. Unfortunately it is going to involve his friends as well. His friends are pretty nice people, harmless. But they are kinda old to my liking. If you haven't known, Sunshine is 8 years my senior. And the people that he mixes with are much older. Some are almost the age of my dad! How interesting can this be?
Since most of my colleagues in this department has gone to Bangkok or will be going to Bangkok by end of this year, I wanted to join in the fun. Since many of them had experiences, I needn't have to look far for info or tour trips. Finalised the whole deal today. I'll be off on 17 - 21 December, flying ThaiAirways. All in approximately RM 1200 per person. Some still say that it is expansive, some say that the price is ok. Whatever it is, I am going for this long awaited break! I am so excited, I can hardly wait.

Holding hands

I've been wondering about this for quite some time already. Why do couples hold hands? Is it to show each other their affection? Or, to a guy, to show off his dominance over the girl? Normally you see a couple holding hands, they are usually the younger ones, who just started the relationship. A year down the road, if they are lucky enough to still be together, they might not even be walking together anymore, let alone still be holding hands? Weird? As the time goes by, you get used to each other. Does that mean you don't need to show each other anymore affection. Or in reality, you have fallen out of love? Just hanging on to the relationship until someone else comes along?
Let me share with you my experience. Want to know how Sunshine held my hand for the very first time? I had this pair of Nike shoes. It was an expansive new arrival edition. Unfortuntely, I had a few falls wearing those shoes. So, whenever I see a wet floor, I will be extra careful. One fine day, Sunshine invited me to a badminton game. At that time, we were not officially a couple yet. I really liked him. But he has not shown any interest. I wasn't sure whether he felt the same way or not. I agreed to join the game. He came to pick me up. As he was hungry, he decided to have dinner first. We went to this mamak stall for roti canai. After that, while walking towards the car, which was parked across the road, one cleaner had to mop the floor. I took extra precaution. I stopped a moment and looked. Sunshine knowing what was in my head, immediately took the opportunity to hold my hand then and guide me over the wet floor. And he never let go, until we reached the car. And I too did not let go. Total silence. I didn't know what to say and he too did not utter a word. We sat in the car and he drove to the badminton court in silence. I must say, at that time, I was feeling right on top of the world! At that very moment too, I was sure that he liked me as well. Holding my hand confirms it all. That was five years ago.
Ah, that is such a sweet memory. Coming back to time, the present moment. I feel that Sunshine does not hold my hands that often anymore. Sometimes we walk our separate ways when we go shopping. I am not sure why this is happening. As I observed, only the younger couples hold hands when they go out together. As you mature through the relationship, maybe couples feel that you don't need to show anymore affection as you already know deep inside the love for each other.
I've got another holding hands story to tell here. There was once I met a friend's grandparents in the market. At that time, they were pretty old, maybe 70. I was so amazed that this old couple were still holding hands. It was so loving. In my thoughts, I dreamed that I would be like that one day when I am old. I met my friend and told him the incident. And you know what was his reply? He said that was because his grandfather could not see, that is why his grandmother was guiding the old man!

9 am to 8 pm

I'm scheduled to log in from 9 am to 8 pm today. I am super hungry now and waiting for Pizza Hut delivery. I've just ordered it and delivery takes half an hour. My hands are cold and almost shivering. I need food.
Everyone is back to work from last week's festive Deeparaya holidays. I for one, had to drag myself out of bed to come to work. I was expecting heavy jam on the Penang bridge. Came out to be there was none. Traffic was smooth flowing. I reached office 10 - 15 minutes earlier. I hate jams, I get very frustrated when I get stuck in a jam.
Pizza Hut was very efficient. I called to place my order. The agent who took my order was very polite, but her English could be further improved. 5 minutes later, her manager called me to confirm my order. In half an hour, the delivery guy called to inform me that delivery is on it's way. 10 minutes and they are already here. So so efficient! I had my pizza and chicken wings. 8 pm now, log out... Going home now.

Triple pay public holiday

It's the second day of Hari Raya. It's still a public holiday. It's a triple pay day again. And I am at work. As fun as the money sounds, it is the boring-est day. Calls are so low, got only 2 ACD calls the whole day. Since I was away for the past 2 days, I returned calls to some of the customers who left me valid voice messages and a contact number. I've been sitting, blogged, surf net, played some games, walked and chat with some colleagues, had lunch and am back on my seat now and blogging again. Got some orders in today, lucky me. I just drove back to Penang this morning. And will drive back to Taiping after work. All for the sake of this triple pay.
I took off on Wednesday because it was All Souls Day. Had many graves to visit. First, I went to my aunt's place. There, I visited another aunt who just passed away last month and an uncle who passed away a few years back. Later on, I went to another graveyard, visited my grandparents, my mom and another grand uncle. It is sad to go these places. I don't like it. The atmosphere is very gloomy. But, it is something that I have to do every year.
Yesterday, Sunshine was off too. We went to Ipoh. Woke up in the afternoon, got ready and headed straight to Ipoh. Had dim sum for brunch. Then we went to Jaya Jusco. I bought a new pair of Levi's jeans. Some super low cut thingy. I like it. And it cost me RM 199. I've been wanting to buy a new pair of Nike shoes as well. However, the many times I visited a Nike Shop, the designs are not to my favour. I'm still looking. Maybe, I might be lucky to see something that I like one day. Well, most importantly, I spent some quality time with Sunshine. At night, I played my GBA where I killed the big boss.
Going back to Taiping again later. I think I will sleep tomorrow. I don't have a game to play, nor have I bought the book that I wanted to read. Maybe I will watch some DVDs which I borrowed from some colleagues. Can't watch with Sunshine cause he likes to watch Chinese movies. I'd prefer the English ones. Sometimes I wonder how we can get along. He is Chinese ed and I am English ed. Opposites attract? Maybe I will blog more on our relationship.
Mario & Luigi: SuperStar Saga

I've finally completed the game! I was so happy when I killed the big boss last night. The feeling for thrilling! I was stuck at the final boss for a few days. I think I've tried killing it more than 10 times! I was so excited. I've been playing Zelda and this game for almost 1 year. If you have a GameBoy Advance, I recommend these two games. These two RPGs are so cool! I'm taking a rest from games now. I'm going to do some reading. The next book that I'm planning to read is Dan Brown's Angels and Demons. After the book, I will consider getting Final Fantasy I & II. Or maybe another Mario game.

Deeparaya

This celebration is the combination of Deepavali and Hari Raya, which falls in this week side by side. That's two days of triple pay this week! I just love public holidays. At least there is some motivation to come to work for the pay and the pay alone. Tell me if there is anyone else who is still so motivated to come to work after doing the same job for three whole years? That person must be really successful and highly self motivated. To that one rare person, I would say, "Good job, dude!"
Anyway, back to the main topic. Deepavali falls today and Hari Raya is expected on Thursday. But that all depends if they found the "anak bulan" tomorrow night. I hope they did, I've planned for my two days break. Tomorrow is All Souls Day. Sunshine is off on Thursday. So at least we can spend some time together on a weekday.
