Flightplan

Went to watch the movie last night with a bunch of colleagues. Interesting and unexpected. I recommend, just to pass time. At first I thought that Kyle Pratt (Jodie Foster) was halucinating, never would anyone expect that Carson (Peter Sarsgaard) was the hijacker. The plot was good. However it's kinda racist towards Arabs. Where when Julia (Marlene Lawston), Pratt's 6 year old daughter, went missing in the flight, they all blamed it on the Arabs who were on board the plane as well. Carson who was supposed to be the air marshall in the flight chose Pratt as victim as she knew the plane inside out. It was a clever plan. Carson demanded for $ 50 million while working as a middle man, people thought that it was Pratt who wanted the money. Carson planted some bombs in the plane. Go watch the movie to know the details.
Something stupid happened last night. After work, boss needed a ride to the movie. Before the show, she needed to go to OCBC, then HSBC and Citibank. She's got a big business I say. So there I went chauffeuring her around. Then we went to Gurney for dinner and the movie. After the show, we sent her back. After sending her back, I wanted to change my shoes to wear my slippers. I found that one side of my slippers is missing. It must be her! She must have kicked my slipper out when she is getting out of the car. And there I go treasure hunting for my right side slippers. Drove back to OCBC, HSBC and I found the slipper at Citibank. Damned, I was pissed! Those were Nike's. If it were some ordinary Japanese slippers, I wouldn't have cared less. After finding my slippers, then we had to drive back to Taiping. We reached at 2 am. Thanks to my boss.

New cubicles

Finally, the new cubes are ready. We moved back to our new places today. Keadaan huru-hara. It's like people moving out from Houstan. I'm seated at this end corner, feels like a little bit more privacy here. The cubes smell so new, it hurts. I'll be sitting here for the next one month. Will have to move again come new quarter. I don't like moving, there are so many things to carry. Firstly the desktop, it would be different if we were given LCD screens. Then the connection to network. And all the rubbish and documents that I've been collecting for the past three years in the company. Err... did I just say three years? Wow! That was fast. Time just flies, don't it?
Well, I need to leave now. Need to pick Sunshine up as we are having dinner tonight. It's the September babies birthday dinner. We're celebrating in Flame, near Crystal Point.

Chuzzle

This game is so addictive that I was busy playing it and forgot to blog last night! My colleagues were playing it and I was hooked to it as well. Computer games are bad. Once you start, you just can't stop.

MNC Customer Service

This is what I call excellent customer service. It's about the bank I blogged about last night. So, I complained on the website yesterday. They called me this morning to check on the matter. They called me at 9 am. Believe it, they are good at handling complaints! I guess the person who was handling the case called me first thing in the morning when she came into the office.
She then enquired what was the reason that I wanted to cancel the card. So, I explained myself. Told her that the card I received was not the one that I applied for. Then she did some checking. She persuaded me to keep the card while she try to submit another application to upgrade the card to the one I initially wanted. I said no way. I was firm. Imagine this, it takes them a month to process the cancellation for my case now. Say if you lose the card, how long will it take for them to stop the card from being used fraudulantly? She asked me to give it a go on the application. No is NO. Factually, I didn't want to keep the existing card because I felt that the agent who did the application for me is not honest. If I do not meet the criteria for the card that I wanted, tell me straight. Don't give me another card that I have no interest in. I like to keep my wallet small. I don't like carrying a thousand and one credit cards in my wallet. He does not deserve the commission that the bank will pay him upon approval of my application.
Enough of this said. I will try to apply the card online. This case, no agents involved and no one will get the commission for my application. I don't mean to be a badass here, I just don't trust these agents anymore. If the bank still rejects my application after providing them with all the required documents, I'm going to ban the bank. I will withdraw all the FDs I have in the bank and invest it somewhere else.

Credit cards

I'm having a really bad experience with banks. Seriously, no matter how world class they claim themselves to be, they still have flaws. Their services sucked big time man. Pardon me, I'm feeling so pissed as I'm so enraged with this bank now. I've called and faxed them my request to cancel the credit card. However, time and time again, I called to check, and the agent on the other end pleasantly tells me that my credit card is still active. HELP me someone, please... I want to cancel the damn card. Is it that difficult to understand?
Firstly, the reason why I wanted to cancel the card is because they sent me the wrong card that I applied for. When I received it, I called them to ask why did they send me that card. Their reply was that I did not meet the basic requirement of salary. I asked them how much was that? I almost fainted, I make twice the amount they requested. And still they rejected my application. Being a customer, of course I started scolding them. I know it is not the fault of the agent who picked up my call. But too bad... I just wanted to scream at someone.
I must say that the agents are very professional. They never raised their voice ever though I was blaring at them at full force. The agent gently advised me to fill up a cancellation request form that she will be faxing to me in a minute and fax it back to her. That I did. And I've done it THREE times. I guess the cancellation department is abit slow in processing these kind of request. Finally, I went into the website and I lodged a complain. I provided my contact number and I hope that someone is going to call me soon. If not, I will complain to CAP, or worse still, Bank Negara. I'm going to sue them for what they are worth for!!! Muahaa... ha... ha... haa...

Basic cleanliness 1.2
Can you imagine how stinko and dirty a toilet is? And you know what I've discovered some time ago? Another one of my 'geli' experiences in the toilet. Since we are in the office, we normally have our own cups for coffee. The nearest place to wash our cups is the toilet, walking to the pantry is abit further. I've actually seen people making their coffee in the toilet. Yes, you read it right. There are people making their coffee in the toilet. How could you even think of doing that sort of thing in the toilet? Toilet is a place to ease yourself. Not to make a drink. Some people just don't know which is the appropriate place to do things.
There are so many kinds of people in the world. And each and everyone of them is different. Sometimes I wonder how people think to do the things that cross their minds. It is really amazing that there are these sort of people who could make their drink in the toilet and happily drinking them later. Gosh, this world is pretty scary!

This is Kelly, her 1 year birthday. She's Sunshine's niece. She is one hyper active baby, never sits still for more that 2 seconds. But, she is definitely very lovable and nice to play with.
We had a small family dinner to celebrate her birthday. I tell you, babies nowadays are so lucky. Parents are giving everything to their kids. It is so different from my time. We, I mean Sunshine and I bought her a nice bracelet. Last year I bought Bryan Nike shoes. See that, 1 year old and already have his first Nike shoes. Not only are kids spoilt by their parents, their aunts and uncles too are to be blamed!

Have you read the papers lately? I'm not sure what is happening to this world. Sounds to me like end of the world is coming pretty soon. Everyday, people seem to be dying in bulk. You have 911, the tsunami, Katrina, those insane bombers... It is either human inflicted or natural disasters. One way or another, bottom line is, people die. And they all die by the dozens and thousands. The thing that disturbs me here is the one where people are killing each other. What kind of thinking or teaching is that to ask you to end the life of another being? They say they do it in the name of this and that. What bull's crap is that? If you are that Godly enough, you should be forgiving and seek peace. Violence will not solve any problem. Violence to kill will only bring forth anger, hatred and worst still, vengence. End of the day, these people begin a war to kill each other. Is the world running out of space that we all can't live in harmony? Maybe it is true. It was God's call when tsunami and Katrina happened. Or maybe God had enough of us killing each other?
I pray that someday, this world can be a peaceful place to live in. No wars, no killings. Where people spend their time inventing to make this world a better place, rather than inventing more hazardous bombs than could kill half the world in one blow. This world is just a test for us. How long can we live here? Why do you want to waste your time killing or hurting each other. You can go for a holiday to a beach place and enjoy the sun. God gave us this world, lets make it a better place.

Today's lesson: Basic cleanliness 1.1. I've got this horrid experience twice already and I felt so disgusted. I went to the loo this afternoon. After easing myself, I washed my hands, before going out and getting back to work. While I was busy washing my hands, another girl came out from one of the toilet cubes and stormed out of the main door. I was stuck in the toilet, I do not dare to open the door. That girl just came out of the loo without washing her hands and with her filthy hands, she held the door knob and went out. I stared at the knob. Someone saved my life, someone opened the door and came in. I quickly rushed out.
Who on earth do not wash their hands after toilet? Aiyoh... what kind of century is this? Somemore, you are working in a Godamn MNC! How can you be like that? This was my second encounter with something like that. I tell you, I do not dare to touch the door knobs of the main toilet door. So, to all those who wash your hands after your business, don't think that you are clean. Even after washing you hands, then if you open the door that was held by someone who did not wash their hands, your hands will be contaminted too. So, make sure you use a tissue paper to hold the door knob next time.

My throat was so itchy and felt like I was going to start coughing again last Friday. So I asked boss for half day, took MC, went to see doctor. I decided not to see the company's panel doctor as he's been giving me the same medication everytime I go to him for my cough. And the last time I went there a couple of weeks ago, he gave me those white pills which makes me drowsy and feel like vomiting everytime I take it. So, I went to this doctor in Taiping. The famously known as an expansive clinic which provides imported medicine. Going there normally costs a whopping hundred bucks and above. Since the company will reimburse a maximum of RM 75, I might as well make good use of it. I went in to see the doctor, as usual the doctor will ask what is wrong. So I told him that my throat is itchy and feels like wanting to cough. Then he took his stethoscope and asked me to breathe in and out while he listened to my lungs. After like a minute, he concluded that I have mild asthma. And he started to educate me about asthma. Why I said he educated me about it? He took out numerous books from his drawer and showed me all the related information about asthma and the medicine that he will be prescribing to me. I was bored to death. For heaven's sake, just give me the medicine and I want to get out of there. But no, he just had to tell me more and more about it. His main objective is to make me aware of this sickness. And he also kept repeating that the medicine that he will be giving to me is made in England. I guess that is the hint that the bill is going to be pretty costly. Well, just a mere few tablets, the bill came up to RM 116. No problem, I'll get RM 75 claiming from company. I'm quite worried now that I have mild asthma. I'm allergic to dust. So, I must avoid dust and smokers. My lung is deteriorating. Also, did you know that 1.8 million of Malaysian have asthma? Doctor told me so, he showed me the figures. So, now I am on medication. This might take 6 months. Heard of Singulair? That is the medicine that will be accompanying me and help me feel better. It is a powerful drug that will treat the cause of my asthma. So, you guys out there, if you've been coughing like forever, especially smokers, better check up with your doctor, you might be having the same problem as me.

I work in the environment of a share market now. Serious shit man! Just tables joined in rows. Reason for this? They are upgrading our cubicles. Aren't the management so nice to do that? We have new cubes, new nice carpets as well. So right now, we are made to move to a make shift place as though we are refugees. No partition or walls, no privacy as well. One colleague actually commented that we can't even dig our nose as everyone will be watching. I am sitting right at the back of all the bosses. If they just turn back, they can see exactly what I am doing. My screen is facing them and if I am surfing the net, I will be caught. We'll be here for 2 weeks, cause the sales floor is so big that they needed more time to fix it up. I don't like it here. I get claustrophobic. And I need to take a long walk to get to the loo. When someone talks, basically the rest of the people in this hall here can hear you.
It's Friday tomorrow. I am so looking forward to it. I am going to sleep the whole of Saturday. I so need to have a really nice and peaceful sleep. And I'm going to sleep 12 hours straight.

Oh dear me, I haven't blogged for a week. I was super busy. Last week, I attended a PC Show in Singapore. Feels like the people there are not getting enough of computers. They were flocking our booth as our prices were dirt cheap. Seriously! People were pouring in for all the 4 days, they kept coming and they bought more. This time I would consider the show ran smoothly. You know? I just need a rest now. I need a whole day's sleep. I ain't getting any as I had to come back to work in office. I am so looking forward to the weekend. Thank God I am not scheduled to work this weekend. Many people also looking for replacement. I guess everyone is dead tired now. The show was a success to us, so everyone who attended the show will be hitting their quota this month. Err... what is the quota? Quota not told yet, don't know what is our aim yet, but for the time being, just sell lo.
That is all for today. Got a meeting to attend now.
